Poinsettia is one plant that I see whenever December comes. The fiery red color of its specialized leaves (not the flowers) is a popular addition to the colors of Christmas. It is one of the decorations symbolizing that Christmas season has begun.
The plant originated mostly in Central America and Mexico. It became popular as a Christmas decoration during the 1820s in the United States. Now, it can be seen in a lot of countries that celebrate the Christmas season.
It has been a while since I wrote something about Christmas. The last one was a while back and it narrated my past personal experience with the days leading to Christmas. My how things have changed! This year, it feels different but I still have the nostalgic feeling of past Christmas.
