Jersey lily

Flower along the travel path: Jersey lily

A close up photograph of a Jersey lily, a perennial bulbous red flowering plant. I was starting to notice that the red flowers were attracting me. I previously posted two different red flowers – red lily and zinnia.

This red flower, Jersey lily, was another flower that I saw during the Mindanao road trip to Dahilayan. I photographed it at Dahilayan Adventure Park. The flora in this place, though not as lush, definitely has some well-cared flowering plants. I hope that they will cultivate it more similar to the horticultural wonder of the Flower Dome in Singapore.

We took a walk in the park and started exploring it. There were pathways going through the pine forest. At the edges of the pathway, and under the canopy of the pine trees, were different varieties of flowering plants. Each one was in a different stage of blooming. I was thinking that the plants were thriving because of the ideal temperature and humidity. The flowering plants were also given the chance to thrive. They were not trampled upon like what I see in most city parks.
