Yarra River: first time strolling and sightseeing

Yarra River of Melbourne, Australia was quiet and serene on that particular afternoon. We stood on top of the bridge and watched. There were few people walking around. Minimal ripples danced on the water as there were barely any watercraft plying. The sun was bright but not glaring to the eyes.

The original name of the river was Birrarung, later mistranslated to Yarro-Yarro – meaning everflowing.

These are old photographs of sights along the Yarra river in Melbourne, Australia. It was our first time to be in Melbourne. We decided to walk and soak in the sights of the locality. It was quite a walk but I still believe that walking the locality was the best way to soak in its beat.
