Metropol Parasol was a very tempting invitation. Dinner that night was kind of heavy. It was so easy to indulge oneself when new and delicious cuisine was served. We really needed to unload some of the excess calories. Hence, it was an easy decision for a night walk to explore some of Seville’s visual attraction.

It was late in the afternoon when we arrived in Seville, Spain. We had spent a long day walking around and admiring the unique beauty of Mezquita de Cordoba. This was in addition to the walking exploration that we did at the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos and the Jewish Quarter of Cordoba.

It was around 1 kilometer of a slow, steady slightly uphill walk. The streets were almost deserted except for a few stray souls like us. There was barely any breeze but the night was cool. We did break out in a slight sweat though and we were feeling good.

The “I love Seville” sign at the top of stairs was a popular photo site. Of course, we took our photos too! The ticket booth was close to the elevator that took us to the top. In a small room, we watched a 15-minute audio-visual presentation of Seville on a very wide screen and amplified sound. It was very informative. We then headed to the top viewing deck. There was a 360 degree view of the city of Seville as well as a light show from the Metropol Parasol.

The next day’s scheduled activities was for more exploration of Seville, Spain.
