There were so many pigeons flying around. That’s definite! It was as if the pigeons had staked ownership of the place.

This particular pigeon was different. It sat perching on a windowsill of the alcazar. It was just watching. Tired? Bored? Sleepy? One can only guess. The photograph was taken at the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, Cordoba, Spain. We had just arrived from Toledo, Spain.
