We did a walking tour of Florence. Piazza del Duomo was the last place that we stopped. We stood facing a massive cathedral as we emerged from an alley. The design was intricate and awe-inspiring. We tried to grasp the beauty of the cathedral but it was too massive. Our necks were straining as we looked up to the top of the spires.

Later that night, we sat viewing the cathedral from a distance. We ended up climbing a hill to view another work of art. It was on top of the hill that allowed us an easier viewing experience of the cathedral. It was easier to visualize its beauty when it can be seen as a whole.
