Boston, Massachusetts

We left Maine after seeing the guiding lights along the coast. By midmorning, we were approaching Boston, Massachusetts. The driving pace immediately changed from relaxed to white knuckle. I am not new to urban driving but the change in pace was just too abrupt not to notice.

We were meeting up with one of my wife’s BFF from high school, Coco, and she toured us around Boston downtown. It was a driving and walking tour. Her regular commute to work at Massachusetts General Hospital made her very knowledgeable around that part of town.

We had a short respite as we were sitting in front of Harvard Medical School building. This was the time that I was playing a game of “What if…?” in my mind. What if, I was at this place when I was younger? Seems kind of funny now but could have been a life changing moment. If only, I had my hindsight at my foresight.

Our driving and walking tour ended at the Hub Hall. There was a long hallway that had food stalls on both sides. We were eyeing all the food and trying to decide what to eat. The decision was not easy despite the wide variety of choices. A short discussion concluded with ramen at Momosan as highly recommended. The place was packed but we were able to secure a table space. Coco, our tour guide, was pretty slick with her connections! I sampled the Gyukotsu ramen. It was the best ramen that I have tasted and certainly did live up to its popularity.
