A photograph of the iconic Greek domes and bells. The white dome, blue dome, and bell tower scene repeats itself all over Greece.
We gained knowledge while on a tour in Mykonos. Most churches and chapels are privately owned. The color of the church dome represents the trade of the owner. A red dome represents trade in farm and animal products. A blue dome represents trade in fish and sea products. A white dome means lack of representation in either farm/animal or sea products.
