Daylily and Peach

There are two things that are making the backyard better. First, planting Daylily in pots added a bright yellow color to its once plain look. Second, I think that the Peach tree has regained its health and is now bearing fruits again.

Acquiring the flowering plant in the backyard was a great achievement! Nurturing flowering plants in the past failed miserably. We tried several times despite knowing that we do not have “green thumbs”. A great backyard garden to enjoy is all we want.

Daylily is a perennial plant and can survive in different climate settings. My wife found her flowering plant in a pot at a local garden shop. She liked it. It “died” last winter but promptly sprouted its green leaves in spring. Now the flowers are in full display!

I thought that we were going to lose the Peach tree as well. Two Plum trees had to be cut down when rot and insect infestation became too much that it just withered. The Peach tree improved when we got rid of the insects. The flowers from the Peach tree does not look the same as it did several seasons ago. There wasn’t much flowers when spring came but whatever was left became fruits. The fruits are not as big as how I expect them to be but they are thriving.
