Coastal town photos: Gloucester harbor

It was slightly past noon when we drove into Gloucester, Massachusetts. The drive was slow coming from Rockport, Massachusetts as we followed the coastal road. The sun was getting warmer and brighter. It was making us drowsy. We weren’t hungry but we wanted to stop and enjoy the sun for a while. A balcony table at the Beauport Hotel with a view of the harbor and the sun was the perfect experience that we were seeking. We ordered the Local Tuna Bowl and the Misty Knolls Farm Chicken Wings from the hotel restaurant’s menu.

Gloucester was the second town that we visited along the coast. We found the town to be more urban than Rockport but still rich with its maritime heritage. The part of town that we wandered into had a lot of ongoing building for new residential houses. Gloucester is a popular summer destination and I’m thinking that the residences are being prepared for the summer crowd.
