Morning exercise

I woke up early this morning. Appa and Momo were not even stirring from their sleep yet. The whole house was quiet and still. After a few minutes, probably sensing that I was awake, they got up, stretched, and started to rub their cold, wet noses on me. I could tell that they wanted to go to the backyard. I thought of the same thing and probably doing some morning exercise too.

Momo

Physical activity in exercise became more indispensable now since I had my injury. I have lost weight, regained my lost muscle bulk, and generally began feeling better. I had always tried to perform exercise but the structured activity of rehabilitation has taught me a better way of doing it. Now, I follow the same routine whenever if I go to the gym. The goal is to be better and healthier with regular and consistent exercise.

Appa

The cooler weather this morning was too tempting to ignore. It begged for a walking exercise. The forecast was predicting the last of the scorching weather and the gradual transition to the cooler fall weather. Appa and Momo appeared not to mind keeping me company for this morning walking exercise. Their wagging tails betrayed their anticipation. They pulled on their leash with enthusiasm while I maintained a steady walking pace. The pace helped loosen up my stiff ankle joints and ease up some of the pain. The sun was barely rising over the horizon and there was a gentle cool breeze. It was a good morning for a walk. Tomorrow, I will be back at rehabilitation.

Deserted sidewalk

Walking can be useful for people who cannot run or do strenuous exercise. Mayo clinic has stated that there are benefits in walking. It further outlined techniques on how to do it properly and how to stay motivated. I walked this morning and noticed the streets to be quiet and deserted. It allowed me to maintain a steady pace of walking without worrying about traffic. I felt good about the activity this morning and I’m thinking of doing it regularly.

Orange mums

I enjoyed the sight of my thriving project. The orange mums planted in a big, wide pot were all in bloom and provided a contrasting color to the flower bed.
